The October conference has revealed its full programme – and there’s plenty to look forward to. Expect the biggest dose of international know-how in FrontKon’s history, alongside a diverse line-up of speakers from Czechia and Slovakia.
AI is quite literally everywhere these days – not just at work, but in our everyday lives, too. But when you look at today’s AI hype through the lens of thousands of years of human history, you get a very different picture. And Sara Polak has plenty to say about that – she’ll be the first speaker to take the stage.
In her research, Sara brings together archaeology, anthropology and artificial intelligence to explore how people respond to technological change and how new technologies shape society. She uses an approach known as archaeopunk and will reveal, among other things, which skills have survived every technological revolution – and why. That alone is a pretty good reason not to miss her talk.
Tejas Kumar is a much-loved keynote speaker at conferences around the world. His infectious energy will pull you in, while his technical expertise will blow you away. In Prague, he’ll share his take on how the rise of AI is changing UX.

AI will also be on the agenda for Czech speakers Jan Kryšpín, Robin Pokorný, Jan Kaiser, Miroslav Holec and Pavel Lukeš, CTO at Direct pojišťovna. The Direct group has been open about handing over a large part of its processes to AI. At FrontKon, Pavel Lukeš will talk about what it takes to move from “AI as a code assistant” to an AI-first delivery system.
Web developer and web accessibility expert Manuel Matuzović will not only give a talk at FrontKon – he’s also leading one of our workshops. In his talk, he’ll share nearly twenty things you didn’t know about accessibility in HTML and CSS.
And of course, there’s much more from the world of web development on the programme. Look forward to React and modern compilers with Matheus Albuquerque, as well as Advanced Web Performance, covered by Sylwia Laskowska and Riki Fridrich.
Those who like to get into the technical details will enjoy Ondřej Žára’s talk on metrics and processing them in Prometheus. And if DevSecOps & Security is your thing, don’t miss talks by Karel Navrátil and Tomáš Litera.
Take a break from the technical topics with Kateřina Boušková, a moderator and trainer specialising in communication and presentation skills. She’ll highlight the most common presentation pitfalls – useful knowledge both in everyday life and at work.
All talks on the main stage will be in English, while talks on the community stage will have English interpretation available. The third, partner stage will also bring you a packed programme of talks from industry experts – but there won’t be interpretation in this room.
We are looking forward to you at FrontKon in Prague.
