Effect a Evolu: (staro)nové způsoby jak psát (nejen) webové aplikace
Annotation
"Two talks in one! But don't worry, they're related. Effect is
a new (actually already 5 years “old”) library for TypeScript that
aims to become something the JavaScript ecosystem is still sorely
lacking—a standard library for writing applications in TypeScript. In the first
half of the talk, I’ll discuss where Effect came from and what
problems it solves. But I could hardly promote something I hadn’t
thoroughly tested myself first. That’s why, with the help of Effect, I wrote Evolu
— a local-first platform designed for maximum privacy, ease
of use, and zero vendor lock-in. I’d like to talk about Evolu in the second
half of the talk. Again, where the local-first concept came from, and what
problems it solves. Local-first has really taken off lately;
I’d count at least 10 startups. But not everything that
glitters is local-first, and local-first is definitely not for everyone. I’d like to
share my thoughts on that with you as well."
