Petr Burian

Petr Burian has been bridging the gap between technology and people for 25 years; rather than viewing them in isolation, he treats them as a single, interconnected system. He finds his challenges in the dynamics between people and technology, not in their separate components.

As CTO at Livesport, he spent 16 years leading a department that grew to 170 people (53% of the company) and built Flashscore—an app relied upon by over 130 million fans, handling 2.5 million requests per second at peak times. Later, as VP of Engineering at Deepnote, he reshaped leadership and the culture of measurement.

Today, he advises CEOs, CTOs, and scale-up founders on how to lead using metrics (focusing on freedom rather than control) and how to derive real value—not just hype—from AI. He works with AI daily himself, developing the open-source app Zenitweek.com—a visual weekly planner designed to help you schedule what matters most before you get buried in emails and meetings.

When he isn't speaking at conferences or mentoring, he runs long distances or spends time with his family.
